RETENTION SYSTEM | GREEN STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE
Our green stormwater infrastructure is designed to be a strong and trustworthy retention underground system, TDR Stormbreaker® is designed to prevent the unusual and dangerous stormwater runoff , maintaining storm sewers and other waterways within their capacity. Our solution efficiently prevents, stores and conveys the water flow with AASHTO standardized products that are efficiently supported through its double arch corrugations and smooth interior liner for optimal hydraulic performance.
PIPE DESIGN
TDR’s retention and detention systems utilize HDPE Corrugated Pipe, TDR Ultra® according to the following characteristics:
TDR Ultra® WT pipe shall have dual wall – Corrugated exterior with reinforced double-arch corrugations and smooth interior black liner and dual layer co-extruded integrated bell. Manning’s n value for use in design shall be 0.010
• 4″ though 10″ shall meet AASHTO M252, ASTM F2648 and ASTM F667
• 12″ through 60″ inch shall meet AASHTO M294, ASTM F2306, ASTM F2648 and ASTM F667. Pipe can be perforated according to the project requirements.
STANDARDS
FITTINGS AND ACCESORIES
All fittings, parts and accessories shall be supplied or recommended by the manufacturer according to applicable pipe standards.
JOIN PERFORMANCE
For closed watertight systems:
TDR Ultra® WT pipe shall be joined using a watertight dual wall integrated bell and spigot joint meeting the requirements of AASHTO M252, AASHTO M294, ASTM F2306 and ASTM F2648. The joint shall be watertight according to ASTM D3212. Pre-installed gaskets shall meet the requirements of ASTM F477. A joint lubricant provided by TDR® or any other water-based lubricant shall be used during the joint assembly. Please refer to TDR® Installation Guideline for more details.
For perforated or plain end systems:
TDR Ultra® WT pipe shall be joined using HDPE split couplers or any other manufacturers recommended accessory
