Corrugated Polypropylene Pipe Austin, TX

TDR Pipe supplied TDR PRO® corrugated polypropylene pipe Austin, Texas for the stormwater drainage system at Endeavor 290, a development on US-290 by Endeavor Real Estate Group. TDR provided 12-inch through 48-inch pipe totaling 8,560 linear feet, integrated beneath the site’s paving.

Project overview

Endeavor 290 is a development located at 8921 US-290 in Austin, Texas, built for manufacturing and high-load use. The design prioritizes slab precision, controlled truck circulation, and uninterrupted surface performance over conventional warehouse flexibility. Sitting on a busy Austin corridor, the project also had to manage stormwater without interfering with truck access or the tight construction sequence. In that context, the drainage system could not be an afterthought—it had to be planned as part of the slab and paving system so the finished surfaces would perform and drain reliably from day one.

the challenge

Across the site, drainage performance was dictated by surface flow lines and elevation accuracy. Long, rigid paving runs with curved geometries meant that even minor deviations in grade could increase the risk of ponding and slab-edge degradation. Because the pipe would sit beneath finished concrete, alignment and joint stability were critical: once paving is placed, there is no opportunity to correct a buried line. Coordinating that buried work with active paving—rather than as a separate downstream civil scope—added another layer of precision, and the system had to be set accurately and stay put under repetitive truck loading.

The TDR PRO® Corrugated Polypropylene Pipe Solution

Corrugated polypropylene TDR PRO® pipe was used as the subsurface extension of the controlled surface flow paths, positioned to receive runoff from large concrete contributors without undermining slab edges or disturbing finished paving. The smooth interior supports efficient conveyance from elongated surface contributors at low slopes, while the corrugated exterior maintains alignment and structural capacity under slab-adjacent, heavy-traffic conditions. The 12- to 48-inch network, totaling 8,560 linear feet, was installed in parallel with slab pours and curb placement, supported by high-precision paving methods. Defining the flow paths early reduced rework and limited weather-related delays during construction.

Results and Value

Surface runoff was consistently directed away from slabs and traffic lanes during construction and early use. The integrated approach reduced corrective work, protected concrete performance, and delivered a drainage system aligned with manufacturing-grade tolerances and long-term durability requirements. It also gave the contractor a smoother build, with fewer conflicts between the drainage crew and the paving crew. For the developer, that means a site that drains predictably and a pavement investment protected against the slab-edge and ponding problems that can shorten a facility’s service life.

About TDR PRO® Corrugated Polypropylene Pipe

TDR PRO® is a dual-wall corrugated polypropylene (PP) pipe engineered for gravity-flow stormwater drainage. It combines a smooth interior liner for hydraulic efficiency with a reinforced, annular corrugated exterior and a co-extruded integrated bell for watertight joints. Available in 12-inch through 60-inch diameters, TDR PRO® meets ASTM F2881 Class I and AASHTO M330 Type S, with watertight joints tested per ASTM D3212—making it well suited to industrial, commercial, and infrastructure drainage projects across Texas.
