TDR Forza Flow® HDPE pressure pipe is a leading solution for water service, agricultural systems, landscape irrigation, and potable water distribution. Manufactured from PE4710 high-density polyethylene (HDPE), it combines lightweight handling, exceptional chemical resistance, and long-term durability — making it the ideal choice for demanding infrastructure and water conveyance applications. It is available in two dimensional systems: the Forza Flow CTS Series and the Forza Flow IPS Series.
What Is TDR Forza Flow® HDPE Pressure Pipe?
TDR Forza Flow® is an HDPE pressure pipe made from PE4710 bimodal resin — a high-performance high-density polyethylene (HDPE) that balances pressure capacity, flexibility, and long-term stress resistance. Every size is NSF 61 certified for use in potable water systems.
Built to withstand vibration, UV exposure, surface loads, and pressure surges, Forza Flow performs reliably in seismic and exterior installations. It is offered in two series so it drops cleanly into whichever fitting and tooling standard your project already uses:
- Forza Flow CTS Series — Copper Tube Size, with an outside diameter that matches copper tubing. Built per ASTM D2737 and AWWA C901. Sizes 3/4″ through 2″.
- Forza Flow IPS Series — Iron Pipe Size, with an outside diameter based on iron pipe dimensions. Built per ASTM D3035 and AWWA C901. Sizes 3/4″ through 3″.

CTS vs. IPS: Choosing the Right Series
Both series are the same material and the same pressure system — what changes is the outside diameter (OD) standard the pipe is built to. That single difference decides which fittings and fusion tooling will mate with it.
| Aspect | Forza Flow CTS Series | Forza Flow IPS Series |
|---|---|---|
| OD basis | Matches copper tubing OD | Matches iron pipe (NPS) OD |
| Size range | 3/4″ – 2″ | 3/4″ – 3″ |
| Standards | ASTM D2737 · AWWA C901 | ASTM D3035 · AWWA C901 |
| Pressure classes | 200 / 250 / 315 psi (RD 11 / 9 / 7.3) | 200 / 250 / 333 psi (RD 11 / 9 / 7) |
| Fittings | Copper-compatible compression + fusion | IPS fusion + mechanical |
| Typical use | Service lines & connections | Distribution & higher-flow mains |
⚠ Specify the sizing system — every time
A given nominal size does not share the same outside diameter across CTS and IPS. A 1″ CTS pipe (1.125″ OD) and a 1″ IPS pipe (1.315″ OD) are not interchangeable. Always match the sizing system across the pipe, the fittings, and the fusion tooling. Mismatching CTS and IPS is the single most common specification error in the field.
Engineer’s note: pressure follows the RD, not the sizing system
Pressure class depends on the pipe’s dimension ratio (RD) and resin — not on CTS vs IPS. That is why an RD 9 is rated 250 psi and an RD 11 is rated 200 psi in both series. Select the series for fitting compatibility; select the RD for the pressure you need.

Well & Pump Systems
Well and pump service where surge resistance and leak-free fused joints protect long-term reliability.
Why HDPE Outperforms Traditional Materials
Forza Flow HDPE vs. Traditional Service Materials
- vs. Copper Tube: No pitting or corrosion, lower material cost, fused leak-free joints, and flexibility that resists freeze damage.
- vs. PVC: Superior impact and surge resistance, better performance in cold climates, and monolithic fused joints instead of glued or gasketed connections.
- vs. Galvanized Steel: No rust, no scale build-up, far lighter handling, and no threaded joints to corrode or leak.
Installation and Joining
Forza Flow® can be joined by butt fusion, electrofusion couplings, or mechanical compression fittings, depending on site conditions. A broad range of CTS or IPS couplings — elbows, tees, reducers, couplings, and adapters — enables direction changes, branching, and diameter transitions while preserving system integrity and hydraulic performance. Butt fusion in particular minimizes internal diameter restriction and produces a chemical- and fitting-free connection.
