TDR PRO Corrugated Polypropylene Pipe — Kelly Ranch Development, Aledo,

Kelly Ranch Development, Aledo, TX!
TDR Pipe supplied TDR PRO® corrugated polypropylene pipe, along with a full range of fittings and accessories, for the stormwater network at Kelly Ranch, a master-planned residential community in Aledo, Texas. TDR provided 24-inch through 48-inch pipe totaling 1,400 linear feet as a single, integrated system.
Project overview
Kelly Ranch is a master-planned residential community in Aledo, Texas, developed to support long-term growth west of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. With multiple neighborhoods, internal roads, and drainage areas built out in phases, the stormwater system needed to be both reliable and easy to adapt as the community expanded.
Phased residential builds like Kelly Ranch put a premium on coordination: each new section must tie cleanly into the drainage already in the ground, without reworking what came before. TDR PRO® pipe, together with its complete fittings and accessories offering, played a key role in creating a cohesive drainage network that could grow seamlessly from one phase to the next.
The challenge
Managing runoff across a large site with varying grades and multiple drainage basins required more than straight pipe runs. The system needed to accommodate changes in direction, diameter transitions, connections to inlets and detention features, and future tie-ins—all while performing under shallow cover and residential traffic loads.
A flexible, fully integrated pipe system was essential to keep installation moving efficiently through each phase of development, rather than slowing crews with custom field modifications at every junction.
The TDR PRO® System and Fittings
DR PRO® corrugated polypropylene pipe was selected for its hydraulic efficiency and structural performance, but the availability of a complete fittings and accessories offering made the system especially effective at Kelly Ranch. Factory-manufactured bends, tees, wyes, reducers, and couplers—part of the matching TDR LINK PRO® polypropylene fittings line—allowed the drainage layout to follow the site geometry without field modifications.
Because the pipe, inlets, connections, and accessories are engineered to work together, installation was simpler and overall system integrity improved. The smooth interior of corrugated polypropylene pipe supports efficient flow at the low slopes typical of residential streets, while the corrugated exterior carries roadway loads.
Results and Feedback
The installed system reliably protects truck courts and internal roadways during storm events and remains flexible for future phases of development. The contractor highlighted the value of TDR Pipe’s accessibility and willingness to engage, noting that having real people available throughout the process made coordination easier and helped keep the project on track. For the developer, dependable drainage means lower long-term maintenance and a protected pavement investment. The successful implementation at West Texas Logistics Center reinforces TDR PRO® pipe as a strong drainage solution for large logistics and distribution facilities in El Paso and across TexasUsing a single, integrated TDR PRO® system reduced coordination challenges, minimized installation time, and helped maintain consistent quality across phases.
The fittings ensured smooth transitions and reliable connections, supporting efficient flow and long-term performance. This single-source approach also simplified ordering and reduced the risk of mismatched components on site. On-site contacts highlighted the value of sourcing pipe, fittings, and accessories from one system, noting the fit, the consistency, and the reduced need for onsite adjustments—along with the flexibility to adapt the network as the project evolved. For the developer, that meant better schedule control, reduced construction risk, and a durable, low-maintenance drainage system suited to a master-planned community..
About TDR PRO® Corrugated Polypropylene Pipe
TDR PRO® is a dual-wall corrugated polypropylene (PP) pipe engineered for gravity-flow stormwater drainage. It combines a smooth interior liner for hydraulic efficiency with a reinforced, annular corrugated exterior and a co-extruded integrated bell for watertight joints. Available in 12-inch through 60-inch diameters, TDR PRO® meets ASTM F2881 Class I and AASHTO M330 Type S, with watertight joints tested per ASTM D3212. Paired with TDR LINK PRO® fittings, it forms a complete drainage system for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Texas.
