Polypropylene Pipe, El Paso, Texas

TDR Pipe supplied TDR PRO® corrugated polypropylene pipe for the stormwater drainage system at West Texas Logistics Center, an industrial and logistics development in El Paso, Texas. TDR provided 18-inch through 48-inch pipe totaling 5,280 linear feet, backed by hands-on engineering support throughout construction.

Project overview

West Texas Logistics Center is an industrial and logistics development built to support regional distribution, warehousing, and freight operations across West Texas. Strategically positioned to serve long-haul trucking routes and regional supply chains, the project caters to industrial users that need large footprints and flexible building configurations.

Its high-capacity warehouse buildings, expansive truck courts, and internal circulation roads create a large impervious area that must be drained reliably to keep the facility operational year-round, protecting loading areas and tenant access during heavy rain. Throughout the project, TDR Pipe stayed closely involved, providing responsive, hands-on support to help the team make informed decisions during construction.

The challenge

The site required a drainage system capable of managing runoff from large roofs and paved areas under low slopes and heavy loads, while also accommodating phased expansion. Large logistics facilities concentrate significant stormwater volumes onto truck courts and circulation roads, where standing water can disrupt operations and degrade pavement.

The system therefore needed strong hydraulic capacity, structural strength to carry heavy vehicle loads, and the flexibility to extend as future phases came online. Coordinating that drainage work around active construction—without holding up paving or building progress—added another layer of complexity.

The TDR PRO® Solution

TDR PRO® corrugated polypropylene pipe was selected for its hydraulic efficiency and structural performance. The smooth interior moves high stormwater volumes efficiently even at the low slopes typical of large industrial sites, while the reinforced corrugated exterior provides the ring stiffness to withstand heavy truck loads over buried lines. Because corrugated polypropylene pipe is lightweight, it is faster and safer to handle on a busy logistics jobsite, helping crews keep pace with the schedule.

The 18-inch through 48-inch network, totaling 5,280 linear feet, was sized to the site’s drainage areas and routed to match the truck courts and internal roads. Beyond supplying the pipe, TDR Pipe’s team worked directly with engineers and contractors—answering questions, reviewing details, and helping adapt the system as the project progressed and expanded.

Results and Feedback

The installed system reliably protects truck courts and internal roadways during storm events and remains flexible for future phases of development. The contractor highlighted the value of TDR Pipe’s accessibility and willingness to engage, noting that having real people available throughout the process made coordination easier and helped keep the project on track. For the developer, dependable drainage means lower long-term maintenance and a protected pavement investment. The successful implementation at West Texas Logistics Center reinforces TDR PRO® pipe as a strong drainage solution for large logistics and distribution facilities in El Paso and across Texas.

About TDR PRO® Corrugated Polypropylene Pipe

TDR PRO® is a dual-wall corrugated polypropylene (PP) pipe engineered for gravity-flow stormwater drainage. It combines a smooth interior liner for hydraulic efficiency with a reinforced, annular corrugated exterior and a co-extruded integrated bell for watertight joints. Available in 12-inch through 60-inch diameters, TDR PRO® meets ASTM F2881 Class I and AASHTO M330 Type S, with watertight joints tested per ASTM D3212—making it well suited to industrial, commercial, and infrastructure drainage projects across Texas.
